Snow/Ice Sculpting

The Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival Snow & Ice Sculpting contest, as well as Residential & Commercial Decorating contest are staple events of Trappers’ Festival! These two events are an opportunity for business and organizations, as well as families, to get in the Trappers’ Festival spirit. Participants can create one-of-a-kind sculptures out of snow or ice that embrace the Festival

spirit and annual theme. In addition, residents, businesses,
and organizations can amp up their Festival spirit by taking part in our Decorating contest. Each year we encourage participants to embrace not only the Festival theme but to
embrace the overall spirit of Trappers’ Festival that has kept our community brimming with excitement each year.

We are excited to see everyone’s creativity as they decorate their businesses, organizations and residences with wood, fur, plaid and more!

The 80th Annual Northern Manitoba Trappers' Festival Snow & Ice Sculpting contest opens Festival week with registration closing at 12:00pm Thursday, February 18, 2027. Judging will take place for Community Decorating

on Thursday, February 18th in the afternoon.

Judging will take place for Residential Decorating and Snow/Ice Sculpting on Saturday, February 20, 2027.
